Printing on Lumber using HP Technology

Tui Technology has successfully implemented colour printing systems on timber at up to 300m/min using HP technology...

Robust industrial printer controllers provided by Inc.jet are used to drive standard print cartridges from HP for industrial applications. In sawmilling this can include high speed printing on the planer outfeed, or transverse printing on a trimmer chain.

The technology has been proven at many sites throughout the world. Tui Technology has installed the system at sawmills in New Zealand including Waimea Sawmillers Nelson, Kiwi Lumber Masterton and CHH Woodproducts Whangarei.

Printing is available in black only or in multicolour, allowing full bitmap printing of grade information in the appropriate colour. Full control of text and logo bitmap printing is available.

Tui Technology has solutions which can be implemented as stand-alone or for control via the machine PLC.

Tui Technology Completes the Tasco Bombala Sawmill automation

Tui Technology has successfully completed the automation and electrical installation of green-field sawmill installation. All machines in the mill were automated by Tui Technology including log sorter, log infeed, Sawline, Binsorter and Stacker.

This major sawline installation at a greenfield site in New South Wales was led by Veisto of Finland for the Hewsaw Sawline, and Kit-Sell of Finland for the Board Sorting and Stacking lines.

Tui Technology is part of a local supply alliance for Hewsaw machines in Australasia.
